Over the past few weeks I have enjoyed my drive home in the evenings so much.
The leaves have been so full of color and the sunsets have been beautiful.
Several evenings the sky has been a bit cloudy and the sun has given those clouds such a brilliant red color. I love it.
Certain spots along the way have openings in the tree lines so that the view is spectactular. It makes me want to stop and take pictures every time.
I hope you take a moment to leave a comment and that you also visit Hey Harriet and Straight Out Of The Camera to see what others have posted this week!
The work day, especially after a tiring one, makes us ready for the ride home. We view our commute with dread in the congested East. Your ride home is relaxing, the trees and fields peaceful and full of color. The trees are ablaze now - the colors won't last until Winter. The photos will remain , and beautiful, too!
ReplyDeleteIt's always a great ride when you can get away from the crowded highways and take the scenic route! Great photos!
ReplyDeleteYou see some spectacular sights on your way home. Thanks for sharing them with us!
ReplyDeleteSHADOW, SHADOW
Shadow, shadow, if I could,
I would meet you in the wood,
Where the frenzied fairies play
In the blazing light of day.
But, dear shadow, I dare not
Go to that secluded spot,
For I fear the woodland path
And what’s more, the fairies’ wrath!

These are beautiful. I really like the tree shadows all down the road.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have such beauty on your drive home.
ReplyDeleteOur sunrises and sunsets have been very pretty lately too -- I wonder why? You've captured the reds and yellows so well, Jeannette.
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying the rest of your weekend. :)
What a beautiful way to end your work day. Your shadow and sunset photos are stunning.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely beautiful photos. I don't have any place so beautiful to take such photos. The trees are just starting to turn colors here in W TX and I haven't found a tree lined street or country road like that since I lived in Chicago! Simply stunning! I've been so busy with kids that my photo skills have kinds of gone by the way side!
ReplyDeleteI also love your friend's poem that was fun!
Have a great week!
Your friend,
Carrie
Looks like a great way to unwind and get your mind thinking of other wonderful things. Beautiful sunset
