On the left is the view from our office looking up College Street toward WKU's Cherry Hall. On the right is the Amphitheater also on WKU's campus. The columns are a very popular spot for photos, especially at Prom time.
I couldn't post pictures of WKU without adding one of our beloved mascot, Big Red.
Next we have a few shadows from the local UAW Hall. My Dad was a teamster and so is one of my brothers, so the Teamster's Logo is a well recognized symbol in my life.
The Justice Center is at the end of the block from our office. It is a beautiful building and one that we frequent often, though I do not think that I will ever feel totally comfortable in a Court setting.
I do enjoy seeing the building at night with all the lights.
Linked with Shadow Shot Sunday 2 and Straight Out of The Camera.
You seem rightfully proud of your city, and your photos do it justice.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting wander round your world! The amphitheatre seems very stylish and love the angled lights featured in the last photo!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of the town.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shots! Love the way you angled the photo at night!
ReplyDeletelovely selectoin of photos, specially the amphitheatre!
ReplyDeleteExcellent....I always enjoy viewing the city buildings and getting a bit of blogger's surroundings and what could be a lifestyle because of the architecture and the civilian support. Big Red huh? That is the nickname for Nebraska's Cornhuskers [my birth state]...but sadly, I don't even know if the 'huskers have a mascot. That last building [the angled shot at night] at first glance from the corner of my eye as I was reading what you had -describing it- I thought it was a saxophone. O Gimme a break...it's early!!
ReplyDeleteHave a super great day.
regarding the 'saxophone'...."My give a damn's busted"...ya, I know. roflmao
DeleteI like columns and you have some nice examples here. I especially like the night shot of your Justice Center.
ReplyDeleteBig Red seems to be fun around!

ReplyDelete”Honey for My Soul,” a shadow shot
excellent shadows!
ReplyDeleteI really like the top shots, lots of lines and length
ReplyDeleteand of course Big Red is wonderful
Ah, Bowling Green is the home of the true American sports car, the legendary Corvette - very cool! A university often gives us many classical sights and shadows - the domes college building is beautiful, the columns that make many classical shadows beneath- very nice. Big Red is great too, a whimsical and fun mascot. Thanks for a tour of a fine town!
ReplyDeletethe mascot is quite the contrast in color from the lovely pink touches on the trees.
ReplyDeleteAn amazing array of beautiful scenes from in and around your lovely town. Loving that first photo -- Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeletenice shots. The blooms and shadows, all great. :)
