I, however have been dragging and ended up at the Dr's office on Thursday. My Dr. gave me two prescriptions, (Celebrex for the muscle aches and stiffness and Adivert for the dizziness), a steroid shot and of course an antibiotic. This makes round three of antibiotics. Add the new drugs to the two I already take daily (hormones and blood pressure) and that is enough to make your head spin. I feel like my Grandmother, when I am trying to remember which pill I am supposed to take at what time. They do seem to be helping and then today I had a massage. So as for now I am relaxed and able to function.
After last night's rain the temperatures have dropped and it has been about 76 degrees for the day's high. It is so pleasant outside. I love it. I even got out side to snap a few photos of the rain drops on some of the shrubs and plants.
Soon these little berries will be a bright red and the leaves will turn a reddish brown.
The petals of the remaining flowers will fall and will cast their shadow on the wall no more.
My kitchen window will not be lined with fresh garden tomatoes.
As you can see, their size is beginning to lessen as the vines are drying up from the heat of summer.
Even the birds are beginning to change. I have noticed a few of the Yellow Finches are starting to loose the brightness of their feathers.
Mr. Cardinal is showing signs of molting in preparation for colder weather.
And I know my little Humming Bird friends will soon be flying south.
I will miss them, as I so enjoy watching them visit the feeders and chase one another around.
But, seasons change. And, I for one am ready for Fall, and I do so hope that it decides to linger awhile so that we may enjoy many cool pleasant days.

Beautiful series of photos offering glimpses of your world in Fall! Especially love the cute little cardinal!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Would you believe I've never seen a cardinal?
ReplyDeleteYou have expressed beautifully the onset of fall and winter with your pictures and words. A lovely series of such nice pictures. I did not know that the birds went through changes getting ready for the cold weather. genie
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of prescriptions, but as you are feeling well - they must be working...the cld front and thunderstorms are in CT as I write, and a big break from the heat and humidity is welcomed back East too! Our tomatoes are ripening more behind a window - if we could only grow these all year - hoping against hope, but a great dream...
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous series of photos...and great words reminding us of the changes in store.
ReplyDeleteTerrific work here.... just great!!
ReplyDeleteAs I walked out the doors from work tonight, I immediately noticed the temperature/humidity change! Ah, fall!
ReplyDeleteI love that shot of the tomatoes in your window. I do hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful pictures!! I sure hope you get to feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a blessed Sunday...♥
Fantastic photos! Our temperature reached 63 degrees here today. That has to be a record for us, just yesterday it was 90. But I certainly feel fall in the air.
ReplyDeleteYour window looks a lot like mine - full of tomatoes! I hope you are feeling better soon.
Your images are wonderful memories to hold and call on.
ReplyDeleteI am beyond ready for fall..just counting the days!
ReplyDeleteNice pictures you show.
ReplyDeleteHanne Bente
Wonderful seasonal images.
ReplyDeleteLovely series of photos, love the hummer and the cardinals. It will be sad to see the hummers leave. I am looking forward to some cooler weather but I am not a winter person at all. Home grown tomatoes are the best, they look yummy. Great photos, have a happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your commentary about the changes you've noticed [wishing it were true here...especially the rain and the falling temperatures for a 'high temp'.]....the change of seasons...it's a wonderful time of year.
ReplyDeleteAs for your meds...I know just how you feel....at least about having to remember which one to take at what time. And one more thing.........a massage? Dang, color me green with envy on that one!!!
ps....I enjoyed your bird photos. Those finches ARE losing a lot of their summer plumage as you pointed out, and the cardinals, always a favorite of mine along with the hummers.
ReplyDeleteThanks again, for linking up at the Bird D'Pot weekend meme!!

ReplyDeleteThose remaining glimpses of summer as it is fading into fall are so bittersweet. I always look forward to the cooler and clearer days of autumn and the color that comes with it. You did such a beautiful job of capturing the transition between seasons. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteI too, am very reluctant to let go of summer and all that it brings. Particularly the birds that I get to enjoy watching. But, as they say, hope springs eternal!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I am looking foward to fall!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures! I"m ready for fall..
ReplyDeleteReally like the Cardinal shot. Very Autumnul here in the UK too.
ReplyDeleteExcept for the pills it looks like a great week. Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteI too am already missing the tomatoes and the hummingbirds. :)
ReplyDeleteSeasons do change and give us different reasons to enjoy each one. I'm looking forward to fall and the dropping temps and the colorful leaves (well, hoping the heat of summer wasn't so much that the color will be here.)
Hope you're feeling better!
Thanks so much for your visit.
Oh, I don't want summer to end!!
