Seven Bridges Road

Song Performed By: The Eagles
Written By: Steve Young
(recorded in 1969 for his Rock Salt 7 Nails Album)

Popular Version Recorded by the Eagles in 1980
From The Album: Eagles Live

Seven Bridges Road
is over 100-years-old. It is a 4 mile parkway that travels up
Occidental Boulevard
from
Superior Street
and across Hawk Ridge to
Glenwood Avenue
and serves as the eastern terminus to the
Skyline Parkway. The road has several stone-arch bridges and intertwines with Amity Creek. *

There are stars,
In the Southern sky.

Southward as you go.

There is moonlight,

And moss in the trees.

Down the Seven Bridges Road.

Now I have loved you like a baby.

Like some lonesome child.

And I have loved you in a tame way,

And I have loved you wild.

Sometimes there's a part of me,
Has to turn from here and go.
Running like a child from these warm stars,

Down the Seven Bridges Road.

There are stars in the Southern sky.
And if ever you decide,
You should go....

There is a taste of thyme sweetened honey,

Down the Seven Bridges Road.
