New Camera

My husband bought a new used camera recently. It is a NIKON D50. I have been playing around with it for the past few days. Just seeing what it will do and comparing it to my little Sony Cybershot.

I can't believe the trees have buds on them....in January!!

                     Can't resist a cloud shot.

Looking out my front door, I saw this shadow on the roadway. So I grabbed the camera, but by the time I got it out of the case, turned on, and focused the shadow was gone. I had to wait a few minutes for the sun to peek back out.
I think the shadow was more noticible the second time anyway

I love the color of this bush in my backyard.

Another back yard favorite is the little berry bush. We also have one of these in the front, but it is smaller than this one. I usually am not out in the yard at this time of the morning, so I was happy to have found these wonderful shadows being cast against the bricks of the house.

With the new camera, I was able to get a really close up shot of the shadow.

I like playing and experimenting with the settings on the camera. It is probably going to take me a while to learn how to use the camera and all it's settings. I look forward to all the photos I will take while learning.

I too love the orangeish, reddish color of that bush. I wasn't quite sure how to describe that color. Ha

  8. This is an used camera? Whoa....my luck, I'd buy an used one and it wouldn't work worth diddly squat! Your images are super, as always. Love the shadows you've captured. Especially the 2nd tree shadow...it almost looks like some disfigured right hand. Well....it does. Trust me. [snort]
