Bring On The Rain

Bring On The Rain

Songwriters: Billy Montana and Helen Darling
Performed By: Jo Dee Messina w/Tim McGraw
Album (2000): Burn

Another day has almost come and gone.
Can't imagine what else could go wrong.

(Clouds from my front porch)

Sometimes I'd like to hide away somewhere and lock the door.
A single battle lost but not the war.

(Neighbors cat after a storm)

'Cause, tomorrow's another day.
And I'm thirsty anyway,
So bring on the rain.

(Storm from my kitchen window)

It's almost like the hard times circle 'round.

(My daughter and Memphis Police)
[not in any trouble....]

A couple drops and they all start coming down.

(Rain from my sister's front porch)

Yeah, I might feel defeated and I might hang my head.
I might be barely breathing but I'm not dead.... no.

(My daughter)

'Cause, tomorrow's another day.
And I'm thirsty anyway.
So bring on the rain.

(Rain from the office window)

No not gonna let it get me down.
I'm not gonna cry.

(My daughter)

And I'm not gonna lose any sleep tonight.
(My baby girl)

'Cause, tomorrow's another day.
And I am not afraid.
So bring on the rain.

(Rain - Brownsville, Ky.)

'Cause, tomorrow's another day.
And I'm thirsty anyway.
So bring on the rain, ooh.

(My daughter - Myrtle Beach)

Bring on.... bring on the rain.
No, I'm not gonna let it get me down.
I'm not gonna cry.

(Bush in my back yard)

So bring on the rain.

Bring on.... bring on the rain.

(Hwy. 185 - My drive home)

Bring on the rain,

(Along the highway - Bowling Green, Ky.)

Bring on the rain.

(Street in front of my house)

  1. Looks like you've had lots of rain over your way. We had a few showers today but nothing that hard. The poor kitty looks a bit bedraggled and wet. I haven't heard this song before but I like it.

  4. Nothing looks quite as depressed as a wet cat. LOL
That is some serious rain from your sister's porch.
And your daughters are SO cute!
